Brisbane City is fortunate to have a number of lovely hotels to choose between for your stay here.
Read a short review of the five star hotels in this city, in alphabetical order, which includes...
The Emporium is situated in Fortitude Valley, a little off the CBD but good for shopping, nightlife and sightseeing.
At Au$260 to 400 it's one of the more expensive hotels in the city, but obviously worth it because TripAdvisor lists the Emporium as the #1 hotel in Brisbane.
Hilton Brisbane is on Elizabeth Street, right next to the Queen Street Mall between Edward and Albert Streets. The Casino and Queen St Mall are nearby, as is Central Station and the Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This about as downtown as you can get, as its walking distance to everywhere in the CBD and even South Bank Parklands.
The Hilton has both rooms and suites. Find out more, or book, the Brisbane Hilton here.
Marriott Hotel Brisbane is on Queen Street though it's farther out than the Mall. It's located closer to the Fortitude Valley area rather than the CBD. It's well placed for the Eagle Street business area.
The Marriott Hotel has 5 executive floors, which feature an Executive lounge for guests to use and include Presidential suites for added luxury.
Quay West Suites Brisbane is on Alice Street near Parliament House and the City Botanic Gardens, a quieter, more secluded part of the city.
The hotel is in walking distance of Queen St Mall or an alternative is to use the CityCat terminal located at QUT Gardens Point, which will take you to South Bank Parklands or the Mall with ease.
As the name suggests, the Quay West Suites rooms are suites with kitchen and laundry, which is perfect for longer stays. Other nearby attractions include the Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Performing Arts & Cultural Centre.
Sofitel is located on Turbot Street, close to the Central rail station. Its quite close to the Roma St Parklands, and within walking distance of the downtown CBD and Eagle St business area.
The Sofitel has three grades of luxury, Superior, Luxury rooms, and Luxury Club rooms and suites.
Stamford Plaza Brisbane is on Edward Street, handy for the Parliament buildings, Queensland University and the City Botanic Gardens. It has views over the river and the gardens, a nice place to be.
Stamford Plaza is also in easy walking distance of the Queen St Mall, Casino and the business districts, and has both rooms and suites with all the facilities you'd expect from a luxury 5 Star hotels Brisbane.
Treasury Hotel & Casino is right at the point where Queen Street meets the Victoria Bridge, which is as downtown as it gets in Brisbane.
The rooms are priced from Au$185 to 350, and again, this is obviously good value, because the Treasury Casino is ranked #3 on TripAdvisor.
It also has its own built-in entertainment, including the casino and the variety shows that always go hand-in-hand with gambling. I'm not sure what the connection is, but they do.
It's an impressive list for 5 Star Hotels Brisbane. In fact, the city seems particularly blessed with them.
But not everyone planning a visit to this lovely city is looking for 5 Star Hotel Luxury. Perhaps a more basic or homely hotel or a motel would suit your better.
